What is Expo 2020

World Expositions, or Expos as they are commonly called, are a global gathering of nations that are dedicated to finding solutions to pressing challenges of our time. Expos offer a journey inside a universal theme through engaging and immersive activities. This central theme attempts to improve humankind’s knowledge, takes into account human and social aspirations and highlights scientific, technological, economic and social progress.

The first World Expo, first called the ‘World’s Fair’, was held in London in 1851, and has since been repeated all over the world creating world-class legacies. Crystal Fountains has taken part in five World Expos, with our first in 1967 in Montreal, as Roger L’Heureux started the company.
